Two-handed sword of the XVth - XVIth century. Used by specialized soldiers that, coming out from own ranks, cut the shaft of the enemy halberds. Known as doppelsolder because they got a double pay for that dangerous task. Double-edged blade made in hand-wrought iron, wooden shaped hilt and iron guard with arched quillons. A metal ring is fixed to the pommel.

Overall lenght 127 cms.
