Gandalf is an old but powerful wizard who was an important influence at the Council of Elrond, since he know the power The One Ring possessed and the evil the dark Lord Sauron could do if he recovered it. He joined Frodo and the other selected members of the Fellowship as they crossed Middle Earth in their quest to destroy the Rings. Next to his trusty sword Glamdring the white staff was Gandalf’s chief weapon.
