Claymore (from the Gaelic "Claidheamoh-mor") means large sword and is referred to the great sword with cross-hilt used in the Scottish Highlands from the end of the XVth century to the beginning of the XVIIth century. The double-edged blade has a romboidal section without fuller with the upper part wrapped in leather that allows to be gripped to carry thrusting blows. Down-sweeping metal quillons, ending in a pierced quatrefoil. Tubular section-shaped hilt wrapped in brown leather and spherical pommel.

Overall lenght 142 cms.
