Shield "almond" convex to the head and lateral margins curved, pointed downwards, the edge is reinforced with rivets.

At the center is depicted a winged dragon with two legs. The fabulous animal was found, in ancient Greece, oracles and guardian of treasures. Is used in heraldry as a symbol, crest or coat of arms as supporters.

Entirely made of burnished iron handmade figure and chiselled and gilded.

The shield became useless on the battlefield in the fourteenth century, but continued to be used in tournament play until the death of Emperor Maximilian I in 1519, and later discredited.
