FELIPE II

King of Spain, son of Carlos I of Spain and V of Germany, and of Isabel of Portugal. He was sovereign of the Netherlands. He formed a part of " The Holy League " with the Republic of Venice. He realized the Iberian unit. He created the known one " Invincible Navy " that ended up by being dispersed and defeated by the tempests. He moved the court of Toledo to Madrid in 1556.
